BOSTON The Buntin Group said it has named Matt Horton evp, ecd. He joins the agency in Nashville, Tenn., from DraftFCB in Chicago, where he served as a gcd.

At DraftFCB, an Interpublic Group shop, he worked on clients such as Coors and KFC. He has also held posts at Leo Burnett, Campbell Mithun and JWT, among others.

Horton takes responsibility for Buntin’s creative product across all clients and joins the company’s executive leadership team, according to shop CEO Jeffrey Buntin Jr., who had overseen the creative department for the past three years.

“In an era when good-natured, stable, committed, world-class creativity is at a premium, we have added a significant leader to an already impressive creative team,” Buntin said. “Matt clearly understands the energy of success that leading-edge creative work can bring to our clients and the agency.”

Buntin claims about $120 million in annual billings from a mix of consumer and business-to-business clients. Key clients include Chinet, Cracker Barrel and Purolator. Buntin ranks among the larger independent shops based in the Southeast.
