Brokerage, Finalists in Home and Away Visits

NEW YORK The finalists in the review for the creative portion of Edward Jones’ $25-30 million ad account last week received strategic assignments from the investment brokerage, sources said.

The client will visit New York shops Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and the Wolf Group for what one source called “work in progress” meetings” the week of Oct. 6.

Final presentations will be at the client’s St. Louis headquarters the week of Oct. 20, with a decision slated for the end of October, sources said.

The brokerage is searching for an agency to handle consumer advertising, direct-response creative and interactive work in North America and the U.K., consultant Randy Lindel has said.

Neither the client nor consultant could immediately be reached for comment. Agency representatives declined comment.

Media planning and buying, which is handled by Omnicom Group’s PHD USA, is not part of the review.
