Ex-Lowe Exec Returns to Different Place
CHICAGO–Brad Brinegar re-turns to a Leo Burnett substantially different from the agency he left two years ago, which is one reason he chose to go back after the Chicago office of Lowe Lintas & Partners shut down.
“In the end, I came to the conclusion that Burnett was the place to be,” Brinegar said. “[Going public] is going to bring some fascinating challenges as well as some energy to the place.”
Brinegar, who left Burnett in 1998, after nearly 20 years, to become president and chief executive officer of Lowe Lintas (formerly Ammirati Puris Lintas) in Chicago, returns to the agency this week as chief operating officer of Leo Burnett USA.
Lowe’s Chicago office closed in June after its cornerstone Ameritech account was moved by the company’s new parent, SBC Communications.
