Breen Joins IPG

NEW YORK Interpublic Group today said it has hired Bant Breen as senior vice president and director of strategic development and innovation, a new position at the holding company here.

Breen, 34, is tasked with driving IPG’s asset alignment, communications innovation, technology and acquisitions. He reports to Stephen Gatfield, executive vice president of strategy and network operations.

“Developing and refining our corporate strategy is a key driver of our success at this crucial time for Interpublic,” said Gatfield, in a statement. “Bant’s experience in global emerging media platforms will be a tremendous asset.”

Most recently, Breen ran an eponymous strategic marketing and communications consultancy affiliated with Dentsu. Before founding his own company, he spent five years at Chicago-based Publicis Groupe agency Leo Burnett in roles that included regional managing director of relationship marketing unit iLeo (now known as Arc Worldwide).
