Coca-Cola COO Steve Heyer helped get Berlin Cameron/Red Cell on Safeway’s roster, according to sources. Heyer, who works with Berlin Cameron on Coke Classic and Dasani, is friendly with Safeway chief Steven Burd. Last week, a Safeway rep confirmed that the WPP shop joined the roster in January. IPG’s Dailey & Associates remains the client’s lead agency. Safeway spent about $100 million on ads in 2003, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
