NEW YORK Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York has withdrawn from Virgin Atlantic Airways’ review, leaving five contenders for the $12-15 million account, sources said.

The WPP Group shop pulled out just before client executives started to visit the contenders last week, said sources. The reason for the withdrawal could not be ascertained. Berlin Cameron did not return calls on the matter.

Agency visits are now complete and the client is expected to select three finalists in about two weeks.
