NEW YORK Bates Group has tapped John Bell to act as the main client contact for its newly acquired Nokia business-to-business advertising account in the post of vice president, client engagement partner.

Bell, who previously worked on Nokia when he was at The Ryan Partnership in Dallas in the late 1990s, was one of the key players on the Bates Group pitch team. Others included svp, business development director Eric Hyman; svp, account planning director Deana Strauss from DWP/Bates Technology; and regional director John Farrell from marketing services unit 141 in Chicago, sources said.
