Publicis last week reported second-quarter revenue of $1.1 billion, up 61 percent from the same period a year ago. The improvement stems mainly from the acquisition late last year of Bcom3, according to Paris-based Publicis. Revenue for the six months ended June 30 was $2.1 billion, an increase of 60 percent. Meanwhile, Publicis CEO Maurice Lévy confirmed that he expects to pay about £85 million (or slightly more than $135 million) for the 25 percent stake in Zenith Optimedia that it does not already own.
