BBDO Promotes Lyons to Executive CD

NEW YORK Janet Lyons, an 18-year veteran of Omnicom Group’s BBDO, has been promoted to executive creative director, effective immediately, an agency representative confirmed.

Lyons, becomes one of five executive creative directors at the New York shop. The others are Don Schneider, Al Merrin, Bill Bruce and Eric Silver. All report to North America chief creative officer Ted Sann, who said about Lyons in an internal agency memo that her “talent and dedication to the work make her a natural for this well-deserved promotion.”

Lyons works on Yum! Brands’ Pizza Hut. Recent advertising for that client featured the Muppets and the new 4forAll pizza product. She oversees creative on Gillette’s Oral-B, which is launching a new product line called Brush-Ups. Lyons also has helped create spots for FedEx and Doritos.
