DALLAS Former BBDO Detroit creative director Cameron Day, known for his work for Chrysler, Land Rover and Toyota, has joined independent McGarrah/Jessee as executive creative director, the agency said.

Day, who created award-winning spots for Land Rover for Omnicom Group’s GSD&M in Austin, Texas, will work with Mark McGarrah and Bryan Jesse, who left GSD&M to start their own agency a few blocks away.

Day is the son of TBWA\Chiat\Day co-founder Guy Day.

“Knowing his father for 35 years, I know Cameron has good genes,” TBWA\C\D chairman and chief creative officer Lee Clow said.
