Barti Joins Hive as ACD

SAN FRANCISCO The Hive Advertising has hired art director Melanie Barti in the newly created position of associate creative director, to work on accounts such as Gymboree and Salmon Bay Expositions, the agency said.

Barti, 38, has 11 years of experience in advertising and most recently freelanced, after leaving Omnicom Group’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, in 2001. At Goodby, she worked on accounts such as Hewlett-Packard, eBay and Pacific Bell.

She reports to Dave Knox, creative director, and DeeAnn Budney, founder of the independent San Francisco shop.
