BOSTON–Banknorth, one of the nation’s largest commercial lenders and a regional banking powerhouse, has moved its advertising account to Via.

The agency in Portland, Maine, had worked on some projects with Banknorth and defeated undisclosed local contenders in a review for the overall account.

The incumbent was Bozell Kamstra, Danvers, Mass., which is being absorbed into the operations of Mullen, Wenham, Mass., as part of the consolidation efforts of Interpublic Group of Cos., the shops’ corporate parent.
