Initio in Minneapolis acquired crosstown agency Odney Advertising last week, a move that increases its billings by about 30 percent.
Merger talks began earlier this year after Initio won Bremer Bank’s $2-3 million account, which had been at Odney, said Initio president Geoff Grassle. Odney president Jim Odney “was contemplating looking for a partner and decided our capabilities and client lists were compatible,” Grassle said.
With the acquisition, Initio increases its billings from $12 million to $16 million and expands its staff from 19 to 23.
