CHICAGO — The well-traveled Bally Total Fitness account has been shifted to Foote, Cone & Belding here, an FCB representative confirmed. Spending is about $35 million, according to CMR.

Chicago-based Bally has worked with Colby Effler & Partners in Santa Monica, Calif., for the past16 months. Its move to FCB continues a string of agency jumping that has seen the business bounce among five agencies, in-house production and independent production companies. Since 1997 Bally’s has worked with Doner in Baltimore, McCann-Erickson and Kovel/Fuller in Los Angeles, and the former Hal Riney &Partners/Heartland, Chicago (now Publicis in Mid America).
