Stocks managed to set record highs throughout last week, despite concerns over the economy and a soft housing construction report. The Dow set a new record, closing at 12,342.56, up 257.67 points for a gain of 2 percent. The Nasdaq also increased 56.34 points, finishing at 2,445.86, a gain of 2 percent. Ad stocks also moved ahead, albeit slightly. Omnicom increased almost 1 percent to close at 102.58. WPP Group closed at 64.56, up nearly 1 percent.
