Avenue A Names Search Marketing Director

NEW YORK Avenue A has added Rob Wilk as director of search engine marketing to spearhead the interactive agency’s search efforts here for clients like Victoria’s Secret, Chase and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

He will report to Art Muldoon, vice president and general manager of client services at aQuantive-owned Avenue A/NYC.

Wilk, 31, arrives from Yahoo!-owned Overture Services, where he spent the last two years as account executive of the mid-Atlantic region. While at the Pasadena, Calif.-based search marketing company, he worked with Lending Tree, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Volvo, MCI and OfficeMax, among others.

His past experience includes director-level posts at AmericanGreetings.com/BlueMountain.com and RollingStone.com/Emusic.com, as well as manager and planning positions with Ziff-Davis Publishing and WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam.
