MELBOURNE – Clemenger will take over responsibility for the entire $5.5-million British Petroleum account on July 1 from the three agencies currently handling the business. The biggest loser in the agency swap is W.B. Doner affiliate, Luscombe & Partners, which handled the largest portion of the business: oil. The other two incumbents, Dentsu’s SSB and Thomson White/FCB, looked after corp orate and Food Plus respectively. All three agencies, as well as BBDO partner Clemenger and Saatchi & Saatchi, competed for the account.
