NEW YORK AT&T has named Coca-Cola and Euro RSCG alum Esther Lee svp, brand marketing and advertising, a newly created post.
Lee, formerly CEO of North America and president of global brands for Havas-owned Euro RSCG, will oversee all brand marketing and advertising creative and media strategy for the company, which spent $1.65 billion on measured media last year, per Nielsen. Omnicom’s BBDO, New York, is AT&T’s lead creative agency.
“We’re pleased to have one of the top leaders in brand marketing and advertising join AT&T at a time when new mobile and Internet technologies are redefining how people communicate and connect,” said Cathy Coughlin, senior evp and global marketing officer for AT&T, in a statement. “Esther has an outstanding track record of global brand management, strategic execution and creative excellence, and she’s a terrific addition to our leadership team.”
Lee left Euro RSCG last fall. Before her tenure at the shop, she served as global chief creative officer for Coca-Cola where she led creative strategy and development of fully-integrated campaigns for global brands and the operating models to support their global application.
