Assurant, Cabot Join Euro RSCG’s Roster

CHICAGO Havas’ Euro RSCG here has added more than $20 million in billings from two new clients: Assurant Health Insurance and Cabot, according to executives familiar with the accounts.

For Milwaukee-based Assurant, the agency will handle everything from direct marketing to digital and traditional advertising. Billings on the account were estimated at $20 million, according to sources. The company spent nearly $10 million on measured advertising through October 2005, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Pile & Co. in Boston, which conducted the account review, confirmed the win.

For Cabot, a maker of stains and finishes, the agency said it would create an advertising campaign scheduled to run both online and in traditional media. Billings on the assignment were not disclosed. Hayes Berry Tehan in Melbourne, Australia, was the Newburyport, Mass., company’s previous agency. There was no review. The client spent $3 million on advertising through October 2005, according to Nielsen.

“We’re excited to be working with Cabot to develop advertising for their brand,” said Ron Bess, CEO of the agency, in a statement. “This is another opportunity for us to demonstrate how our creative and strategic branding expertise can further enhance a brand’s reputation in the category.”

The wins come on the heels of two other account acquisitions: Culligan and the Bombay Co. Billings on those two accounts were estimated at $30 million.
