BOSTON Havas’ Arnold said it has promoted Lynn Power to president, managing partner of its 135-person office in New York. She had been an evp.
Arnold’s last president in New York, Mary Maroun, exited a year ago.
Power, 41, has been at Arnold for three years, overseeing the Hershey’s business since Arnold added that assignment — one of the largest in its New York office — three years ago. Hershey’s spends approximately $100 million annually on ads, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Power has also helped guide development on Lee Jeans and Timex. She joined Arnold after a stint at IPG’s McCann Erickson, where was an svp, group account director.
Michele Buck, Hershey’s svp, global CMO, in a statement noted that Power “has great marketing instincts and is masterful at bringing together the ‘best of’ what we as clients have to offer with the ‘best of’ what Arnold has to offer.”
Fran Kelly, national CEO of Boston-based Arnold, praised her as “smart, driven, successful — great with clients and an inspiring leader.”
In New York, she will partner with CCO John Staffen to lead an office that also works for GlaxoSmithKline, McDonald’s and the USTA, among others.
The outpost last year added the Alli weight-loss assignment from GSK, as well as Timex, but the office has been mainly quiet of late in terms of new-business activity.
