Arnold Adds a Pair of Senior Managers

BOSTON Havas’ Arnold here has hired a pair senior vice presidents to bolster its account service and brand communications groups.

Laurie Matthews has joined Arnold as svp, group account director, leading the agency’s Celebrity Cruises and Ocean Spray accounts. Separately, Jamie Parker comes aboard as svp of brand communications.

Matthews replaces Karen Riordan, who recently moved from the agency’s headquarters office here and now serves as evp, account management director at Arnold in McLean, Va. [Adweek Online, Oct. 31].

Matthews has 20 years of experiences at agencies such as Grey, Deutsch and Young & Rubicam, working on accounts like DuPont, Snapple and Johnson & Johnson, among others.

“Laurie is a results-driven marketing leader and a seasoned brand builder, who is passionate about great creative across all marketing communications channels,” said Pam Hamlin, Arnold managing partner and director of account management. “The addition of Laurie is another example of the quality of the people we’re attracting to Arnold.”

Parker will work with Arnold chief marketing officer Lisa Unsworth and members of the board to maximize media coverage of the agency’s activities.

She most recently served as president of the Cambridge, Mass., office of Interpublic Group-owned PR agency Weber Shandwick.
