A ARKANSAS
Stone & Ward was the top winner at the Little Rock Addys competition, racking up 36 gold prizes among 109 total awards at the recent ceremony. Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods came in second with 70 awards, including 25 gold. The Allison Agency took best of show for its advertising on behalf of its Backyard Burgers account. The winning ad campaign features actor Barry Corbin of Northern Exposure fame as homespun spokesman “Red Embers.”
Mangan/Holcomb & Partners in Little Rock has added three new accounts to its roster: Stephens Private Client Group, Delta & Pine Land Co. and the Arkansas Repertory Theatre.

A LOUISIANA
Tony Chachere’s, a producer and marketer of seasonings and food mixes based in Opelousas, has introduced a new advertising campaign. The brand image effort features an updated animated character called “Li’l Tony.”

BOLT won the iF Design Award from the Industrie Forum in Hanover, Germany. The Charlotte shop was honored for its product design work for the Response Biopsy Forceps, a hand-held medical device developed for GI Supply of Harrisburg, Pa.

A TENNESSEE
William P. Higgins, president and chief executive officer of Higgins Advertising in Nashville, is featured in the fifth edition of “Advertising: Principles and Practice,” a 562-page textbook being introduced to students nationwide this year. The book’s second chapter includes a feature profile in which Higgins details advice for budding entrepreneurs on how to start and operate an advertising agency.
