Apple has ousted Coca-Cola as the world's most valuable brand, per Interbrand, as the soda giant dramatically fell from first to third place and Google landed in the second slot.

It marks the first time in Interbrand's 14-year-old "Best Global Brands" report that Coke has not been No. 1.

Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple's name increased in worth by nearly 30 percent in the last year to $98.3 billion, according to the Omnicom Group-owned branding firm, jumping from second place to the top slot.
