Big Blue, the non-profit L.A. film company known for its environmental messages, has taken on a sponsor for its latest project. John Paul Mitchell Systems, marketer of hair care products that are cruelty-free, appears at the end of a two-minute spot about the bond between animal and human life. The film, which debuted in movie theaters nationwide over the weekend, cuts footage of animals with a woman who’s shown swimming toward a ball of light in dreamlike sequences co-creators Mark McLaughlin and Robert Strozer call ‘Salvadore Dali-esque.’
