ANA Opposes Do-Not-Spam List

The Association of National Advertisers is urging the Federal Trade Commission to oppose a do-not-e-mail list. Under the CAN-Spam Act of 2003, the FTC was directed to report to Congress this spring on the feasibility of such a registry. In a letter sent to the FTC last Tuesday, the ANA argued that the initiative would hurt legitimate marketers.
