AmEx Roadside Assistance Aids Seinfeld, Superman

NEW YORK Jerry Seinfeld and Superman use American Express to get them out of a road-trip predicament in the pair’s second Webisode breaking today for the financial services company.

Called “Hindsight Is 20/20,” the Barry Levinson-directed four-minute installment follows the duo on a cross-country drive in one of the comedian’s vintage vehicles. When they stop to take a picture in Death Valley, the Man of Steel accidentally locks the keys in the car. Seinfeld employs Roadside Assistance, a service provided to American Express cardholders, to save the day.

The film can be found at www.americanexpress.com/jerry, along with the first five-minute short, which debuted March 29. That inaugural Webisode, “A Uniform Used to Mean Something,” will air on NBC tonight before the encore performance of the Friends finale.

The Webisodes are a part of a collaborative effort from independent Digitas and WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather and Mindshare.
