Altamira ‘Gets It Done’ for Gestetner

BOSTON Altamira Communications has launched the first TV spots and new radio ads for Ricoh’s Gestetner brand of office equipment.

The TV work is customizable by local dealers, who can tag the spots with their contact information.

Gestetner enlisted the services of director Matt Cantrell, who has worked with Apple, among other marketers, to film the product from 360-degrees for the television campaign. Overlaid with lively music, the photography of the Gestetner system “in action” gives viewers a tactile sense of its look, feel and capabilities.

The year-old tagline “Gestetner gets it done” is retained from previous ads.

“The powerful ‘Gets it done’ marketing message communicates the importance of local Gestetner dealers, who literally ‘Get it done’ for their customers every day,” said Mark Pollack, client vice president of product marketing and marketing support, in a statement.

National print ads, signage, posters, product literature, sales collateral and a 90-second sales video are also in the mix.

Altamira is an independent shop located in Westport, Conn. The client is based in West Caldwell, N.J.

On the ads, Tom Demetriou served as creative director and copywriter. Patti Manzone handled art direction.
