NEW YORK — Hans Albers, most recently creative chief at 12 Cylinders in Hamburg, Germany has been tapped as chief creative officer of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in Hamburg. He succeeds Veronika Classen, who is leaving the shop.

Albers, 42, reports to agency chairman and CEO Norbert Lindhof. Before his one-year stint at 12 Cylinders, Albers was with Scholz & Friends, also in Hamburg, for 10 years, first as a senior copywriter, then creative director and finally as managing director of the shop.
