The Weber Group, Cambridge, a unit of Weber Public Relations Worldwide, has been hired by computer networking company Control Corp., St. Paul, Minn., for corporate reputation management, media relations, product publicity and market research.
Barrett Communications in Cambridge has been tapped by EG&G in Wellesley to create Insight, a quarterly newsletter. The client is a diversified technology company specializing in mechanical components and related products for the aerospace, automotive and medical fields. Barrett also has created marketing and trade show materials for Edgewater Technology in Wakefield.
CC and D Communications in Boston has been tapped for advertising services by the Chicago-based Council of Hellenes Abroad cultural program.
Student.com, a Web site for college students, has teamed with Zip2 Corp. in Mountain View, Calif., a provider of online city guides and directories. Zip2 will distribute Student.com’s content through its national network of 152 online newspapers. Visitors to Zip2’s Web site will be directed to Student.com. Student.Net Publishing in Cambridge owns and maintains Student.com.
