DiMeo & Co., Chicago, launched its third ad campaign for the Northern League Schaumburg Flyers professional baseball team. Print executions with the tagline, “A diamond in the burbs,” break next month followed by radio and TV spots in March.
Northbrook-based business-to-business marketing company Kaye & Company acquired four new clients. The shop will provide integrated marketing services to Arcadia Products, Hilco Trading, both in Northbrook, Brand Services, St. Louis, and New Enterprise Stone & Lime, New Enterprise, Penn.
Chicago-based public relations firms DeFrancesco/Goodfriend and L.C. Williams & Associates merged. The combined company will operate under the L.C. Williams name and have about $3.5 million in revenue. Clients of the merged shop include La -Z-Boy, Ace Hardware, Nicor, Northern Trust, Hanes and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Ebel Dunnell Merrick in Chicago won a brand restaging assignment for the Zodiac pet-care line from Wellmark International, which plans to spend up to $5 million over three years. The line includes flea control for dogs and cats, shampoos and other products.

Fruit of the Loom Activewear named Keller Crescent lead agency for its business-to-business advertising, direct marketing, public relations and promotional programs. Amundson Marketing in Minneapolis was selected by Otter Tail Power in Fergus Falls to handle strategic marketing.
Woodruff & Company, a marketing and communications shop in Columbia, was named lead agency for Tomen Agro, a crop protection product maker in San Francisco. Tomen Agro’s products include Elevate and Captan fungicides.
Kuhn & Wittenborn Advertising in Kansas City was selected to direct integrated marketing communications for FirstGuard Health Plan, a Kansas City-based managed healthcare system. Separately, K&W was chosen to handle a national campaign for the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Kansas City. The agency will handle strategic planning, advertising, media planning and buying, interactive and relationship marketing.
Swanson Russell Associates in Lincoln was named lead agency for the Rapid City Convention and Visitors Bureau, part of the Rapid City, S.D., Chamber of Commerce. The shop, which bested nine other agencies for the account, will reposition Rapid City with a new logo and tagline.
Innis Maggiore Group was awarded the $1 million advertising account of Waikem Auto Group, an auto dealership in Stark County. Innis Maggiore, based in Canton, replaces Defalco Automotive, a Florida auto specialist agency.
Bridge Agency, a Cincinnati marketing shop, acquired Playground Advertising. The Cleveland-based agency specializes in marketing and development products for kids. The combined firm landed the Spinmaster Toys account, maker of Air Hogs.
Hitchcock Fleming and Associates in Akron was chosen to work with several divisions of BFGoodrich Aerospace. The shop will handle de-icing and specialty systems; aircraft wheels and brakes; landing gear; fuel and utility Systems; and Avionics Systems. The agency early last year handled a print campaign for the company’s new landing system product that employed the look of Rube Goldberg cartoons.
