Creative Civilization–An Aguilar Agency in San Antonio has formed a joint venture with Web development company Internet Strategies. Separately, the agency has completed television spots featuring San Antonio Spurs player Tim Duncan for the Cancer Therapy and Research Center. Creative Civilization also plans to launch a new advertising campaign for the Plaza San Antonio Hotel and Resort with the slogan, “Meet me at the Plaza.”
DefensiveDriver.com, an online driving course approved by the state of Texas, will be introduced statewide by JWT Specialized Communications, Houston. The less than $1 million advertising campaign will use print, broadcast, direct mail, outdoor and interactive media.
Murray Brown Creative Group, Fort Worth, was presented eight Addys, including the special judges award for design, at the local creative competition.
PR/Texas received four Addy citations of excellence from the Fort Worth Ad Club for its logo, brochure, television PSA and copywriting efforts.

Dieste & Partners, Dallas, won gold and best of show honors at Dallas’ TOPS Awards for its HBO television commercial, “Trance.”

Hartman Communications, headquartered in Tulsa, has established an office in Oklahoma City. At the same time, the company appointed Barney L. Lehmbeck Jr. vice president of client services to lead its new market entity.
American Soda, based in Parachute, Colo., has selected Jordan Associates in Oklahoma City agency of record for its business-to-business advertising account. The client is a producer of soda ash and sodium bicarbonate.
