Telecommunications company Crown Castle International in Houston recently launched a new marketing communications campaign developed by LJF Associates of The Woodlands. Patrick Henry Creative Promotions of Stafford has created a new promotional program for Interstate Hotels. The work features food and beverage menus printed on miniature footballs. Wieck Photo DataBase, Dallas, has reached an agreement with Toyota Corporate Service of North America to host the automaker's media Web site. Jim Conlan and Bill West of the creative shop Radio Works, Houston, have announced the publication of their book, Radio Advertising 101.5: The Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Better Radio Advertising. Top winners at the 1999 Golden Jalapeno Awards in San Antonio were: Swain Edens Studios, White Gas, Mojo Press, The Thompson Agency, Giles Design, Creative Link Studio and Big. At the national Telly Awards, S&C Advertising & Public Relations of San Antonio captured a silver and two bronze prizes for its public service announcement developed for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Atomic Pictures of San Antonio won a national gold Addy for best visual effects for its work on "Drop Soccer," a commercial promoting Corona Extra beer. Communica Marketing Group of Richardson won a best in category prize and two additional citations at the Houston Business Marketing Association's recent Lantern Awards competition. Two companies moving to new headquarters in Dallas are Michael & Partners and Ornelas & Associates. ARKANSAS Stone & Ward, Little Rock, had been designated agency of record for Brannon's Market, a food store. Ruud Air Conditioning Division, Fort Smith, won two silver Tellys for its internally developed television commercials. Sells/Clark of Little Rock won best of show at the Bank Marketing Association's annual advertising awards competition. NEW MEXICO The New Mexico chapter of the American Marketing Association presented its Marketer of the Year Award to Rick Johnson & Company of Albuquerque. The New Mexico chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recently announced the winners of its first annual El Cumbre Awards. The best of show award was presented to Market2000 for its technology funding project. Other top winners included UNM Health Sciences Center, The Garrity Group Public Relations and St. Joseph Healthcare.
