Thomas Puckett Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations in Las Vegas was retained by Pulte Homes as its advertising agency of record. NEVADA EnVision Advertising & Marketing, Reno, selected Golden Opportunity as its pro bono assignment for 1998. Golden Opportunity helps senior citizens update their work skills to compete in today's job market. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Foster Farms, Livingston, named Fineman Associates Public Relations, San Francisco, as its public relations agency of record. Oh Boy, A Design Company in San Francisco was hired to design and produce 1997 annual reports for Cadence Design Systems, Gap Inc. and DSP Communications. Stratagem Healthcare Communications in San Francisco was awarded the advertising account of Enact Health Management Systems, Mountain View. Progressive Marketing in San Francisco changed its name to SenaReider. OREGON Karakas VanSickle Ouellette Advertising and Public Relations in Portland was selected as Blue Mountain Cellular Telephone's Cellular One) agency of record. Portland's Benson Hotel and RiverPlace Hotel selected Harris Massey Herinckx Advertising and Public Relations, also in Portland, to provide advertising and public relations services. Digital film studio New Wave International has changed its name to nWave Pictures. TTA/Newport, a Newport Beach-based marketing communications agency specializing in healthcare and high-tech industries has been renamed Point B. The name suggests the shop can move clients from point A to point B. LAK Advertising in San Diego was chosen to produce FPA Medical Management's 1997 annual report. The medical/healthcare marketing communications agency of Baxter, Gurian & Mazzei, Los Angeles, was retained by Dura Pharmaceuticals, San Diego, and Schwarz Pharma, Mequon, Wis. Santa Monica-based MSH Music Group appointed Levinson Associates, Los Angeles, as its public relations consultants. Selbert Perkins Design in Santa Monica will design a new logo for the City of Hope Medical Center. Z-Bloc, a division of Unit Instruments, selected Schraff Group, Newport Beach, as its advertising and public relations agency worldwide. GreenLight Marketing & Communications, a Newport Beach-based high-tech marketing and advertising firm, acquired Les Goldberg Public Relations, Santa Ana. First Team Real Estate in Irvine hired TH&M Advertising, also in Irvine, to handle its estimated $1 million advertising account. The Bohle Company, a high-tech public relations firm in Los Angeles, has been contracted to provide public relations services for five new technology clients: Bandai Digital Entertainment, Environmental Software, Vitesse Semiconductor, WorldSite Networks and Pivot Systems. West & Associates, a public accounting and consulting firm in San Diego, selected MacCracken & McGaugh, also in San Diego, to provide media, community and public relations services. Cooper Communications, Woodland Hills, was retained by three new clients: The Association of Film Commissioners International, The California Manufactured Housing Institute and 20th Century Insurance. Vista Metropolitan Outdoor Media, a La Mirada-based billboard company, acquired Sunset Outdoor of Los Angeles. Adlink hired Vigon/Ellis, a Los Angeles-based brand development and design firm, to mark its 10th anniversary this year. Spear/Hall & Associates was retained by the 1998 United States Precision Team Skating Championships, a nonprofit competition. Orthodontics Centers of America retained Los Angeles-based Matthews & Associates Advertising to handle radio creative, buying and promotional duties for the company's network of 300 orthodontic care centers. Laguna Hills-based Carrera Computers selected Schraff Group of Newport Beach to implement the company's public relations program. Ayzenberg Group, an advertising and design firm in Pasadena, won a Web site assignment for Shutters On the Beach. UTAH Regence BlueShield of Idaho announced the selection of Salt Lake City's Harris & Love Advertising. FJCN/W&R, a Salt Lake City-based advertising, marketing and public relations firm, was selected as agency of record for the Polynesian Cultural Center, Laie, Hawaii. FJCN/W&R will manage advertising, marketing and promotions in the westbound market, which includes North America and Europe, for the world's leading cultural theme attraction showcasing the diversity of Polynesia. WASHINGTON Tully's Coffee of Seattle hired Cohen/Dwyer Advertising & Marketing and Cohen Promotions to handle its newspaper, radio and TV advertising.
