ARIZONA RightFAX selected Nordensson Lynn Strategic Marketing Communications in Tucson to develop and execute a national advertising campaign. RightFax is a developer of advanced fax server solutions. NEVADA Ingram Communications Group was selected as public relations agency of record for Ascentra, a Las Vegas-based healthcare management company and health service provider. The Las Vegas shop will also develop public relations plans and programs and coordinate media activities for the company's subsidiaries. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA The Weber Group in Palo Alto was hired as public relations agency of record for Hitachi America Ltd. Computer Division, a provider of high-performance computer storage and multimedia products. The agency has been working on the client's semiconductor division for the last year. Micro-Radian Instruments, Allegrotek and JET Equipment Corp. have all hired The Oddo Group in San Marcos for marketing and public relations services. OREGON Miller Marketing Advertising & Public Relations in Portland was named agency of record for Oregon Auto Center in Tualatin. LightSPEED Technologies selected McKinney Johnson in Portland to handle advertising for its Active Noise Reduction (ANR) headsets. LightSPEED, headquartered in Lake Oswego, manufactures headsets for aviation pilots. TriAd Advertising Marketing Public Relations in Bend has created a full-page color print ad for The Riverhouse, an Oregon golf resort. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Lewis & Associates in Los Angeles was named public relations counsel for the John Alle Co. and Killefer Flammang Purtill Architects. John Alle Co. is a real estate brokerage firm in Santa Monica and Pasadena, and Killefer Flammang Purtill specializes in designing apartments and recreational and institutional projects. Young Co. in Santa Monica was hired by WebVision, a Web commerce company in Torrance, to handle its estimated $1 million account. The Orange Zone, the youth marketing division of Laguna Hills agency Townsend & O'Leary, recently launched a new campaign for Bear Mountain ski area throughout Southern California. Nelson & Gilmore, a marketing communications firm in Redondo Beach, will provide advertising and public relations for Target Logistic Services. Founded in 1970, Target Logistic Services has specialized in customized freight forwarding solutions. N&G will develop a branding and marketing communications program. The Sutherland Agency was retained by Coleman College in San Diego. The agency, also in San Diego, will provide public relations services for the nonprofit institution, which specializes in computer education. Media Dimensions, a San Diego marketing communications agency, was retained by MicroVision Development, also in San Diego. MicroVision is a supplier of personal production software for Windows-based personal computers. Ultrafem in San Diego named Forsythe Marcelli Johnson in Newport Beach as its marketing communications agency for its Instead SoftCup product. Vision Correction Centers in Tustin selected TH&M Advertising, also in Tustin, to handle its national print advertising. Vision Correction Centers operates more than 10 laser vision correction facilities across the country. The Olguin Co. was hired to handle a strategic marketing communications program for Yamaha Marine Group, a division of Yamaha Corp. of America. The San Diego-based public relations and marketing firm will implement an industry perception audit, create a public relations and marketing program and identify national promotions opportunities for Yamaha Marine. The Nabisco Dinah Shore LPGA Golf Tournament retained Hahn Communications in Newport Beach for the eighth straight year to conduct its media and public relations campaign. Drasnin Communications in San Diego added California Closets to its client roster. California Closets is a home and office organization and design company based in San Francisco. Cassel Communications in San Diego was retained to provide national public relations services for Pedal for the Cure, a 42-day bicycle ride across the country by 44 women to raise money for and awareness about breast cancer research. Point B in Newport Beach was selected as agency of record for EPC International, a proprietary operating software developer for the food and beverage routing and distribution industry. Brigham Scully in Woodland Hills has begun working on a press relations program for investment banker Mosaic Capital in Encino. Single Source Marketing in Costa Mesa has added Sys Technology to its advertising and public relations account roster. The agency will create a branding campaign for the client, which is a manufacturer and systems integrator of personal computers. Lages & Associates in Irvine was selected by OmniVista Software Corp. as its public relations agency. OmniVista is a provider of analytical applications for financial budgeting and reporting as well as strategic planning and analysis. UTAH The Orton Group in Salt Lake City was recently selected as agency of record for Mt. Wheeler Power. The client is a electrical cooperative that services rural industry and community power needs throughout northern Nevada and western Utah. WASHINGTON Former McCann-Erickson art director and freelancer Greg Nelson has formed virtual agency Ad Fu Advertising in Bellevue. The shop recently picked up business from Midtown Cafe, Northwest Kenpo Karate Association and TinCup Golf Apparel. After a review of three undisclosed local agencies, DNA Brand Mechanics in Seattle was selected by Morton, Clarke, Fu & Metcalf to handle brand positioning and advertising assignments for Morton Clarke Advisors, the company's newly formed municipal bond investment and portfolio management affiliation. Billings are undisclosed. David Repyak recently completed a black-and-white trade newspaper campaign for GK Industrial Refuse Systems Trash Compactors. Seattle-based Repyak also created postcards and direct mail pieces for the client. Hunt Marketing Group in Seattle completed a series of three pro bono newspaper ads for the Nature Conservancy of Washington, an international nonprofit conservation organization.
