Ad*itive Gains Independence From Havas

BOSTON The Ad*itive said it has bought itself back from French holding company Havas.

“It has always been our long-term vision to be a self-sufficient agency,” said Monroe Blakes, chairman and CEO of the agency. “We are grateful to Havas for helping us grow in that direction and we hope to partner with them again in the future.” Financial details were not disclosed.

The Philadelphia-based Ad*itive, a multicultural marketing agency, has a client roster that includes Volkswagen, Amtrak, American Legacy Foundation and Coty. Estimated total billings are $15 million, and the shop employs about 18 staffers.
