Addys in Season

Midwest market Addy results continue to come in.

Blattner Brunner dominated in Pittsburgh, taking best of show honors for a TV spot for Zippo lighters. The spot features a worker in the Statue of Liberty who lights the lady’s torch with his Zippo. The shop, which last year absorbed Egan/St. James, also won two judges awards of excellence and 28 Addys. The Idea Mill took eight Addys, Marc USA six, and Bozell Kamstra two.

In Peoria, Ill., Ross Advertising won best of show for a public service campaign for Counseling and Family Services, and took 20 of 42 Addys awarded. The Simantel Group won 10 Addys, while Converse Marketing took home five.

Copper, formerly TraverRohrback, won broadcast best of show honors at the West Michigan Addys. The Kalamazoo, Mich. agency was recognized for a series of radio spots for Gordo Snowboard Store, also in Kalamazoo. The shop won four Addys. Hanon McKendry received the greatest number of Addys and Citation of Excellence awards in the contest, winning 10 of 30 Addys.
