Adams & Knight Judged Best at Conn. Awards

BOSTON Adams & Knight won best of show for its Universal Healthcare effort at the Ad Club of Connecticut’s 53rd annual awards show honoring creative work from the state’s agencies and clients.

The Avon, Conn., shop was joined in the elite winners’ circle by Happy Dog Advertising in Westport, Conn., and Via Design & Branding in Danbury, Conn. Happy Dog and Via won the Gold Brush and Gold Pen honoring excellence in art direction and copywriting, respectively. Each scored for self-promotional work.

Adams & Knight took home eight golds, followed by Cashman & Katz, Dancamera Design and Happy Dog, which won four golds each.

The show was held May 23 at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Conn., and WDRC-AM personality Mary Jones served as host.

More than 133 awards were given out in 50-plus categories—from posters to outdoor billboards, annual reports to collateral, TV to radio, and Web sites to corporate videos.
