Adams, Keiler Rule at Conn. Awards

BOSTON Adams & Knight won best of show at the 50th annual Ad Club of Connecticut Awards, scoring for its humorous “Macho 1 and Macho 2” point-of-purchase campaign for outdoor outfitter client Ridgerunners.

The independent agency in Avon, Conn., also won eight gold awards as well as a special gold Pen prize for best copywriting. Adams & Knight took home 35 total awards, most on the night, while Keiler & Co. in Farmington, Conn., won the most golds (nine). Westport, Conn.-based Happy Dog Advertising won the gold Brush for best art direction for a Red Door Design logo.

Nearly 300 people attended the show held on Wednesday at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Conn. This year’s competition generated 600 entries, the most in 10 years, and 190 awards were presented.
