CHICAGO Roger Adams is taking over one of the top advertising posts at General Motors, the company said on Wednesday.

Adams, 47, is swapping jobs with C.J. Fraleigh, who has been executive director of corporate advertising and marketing. Fraleigh becomes general manager of GM’s Buick and Pontiac-GMC divisions, the automaker said in a statement.

Both Fraleigh, 40, and Adams will report to GM vice president of marketing and advertising John Middlebrook.

GM spends an estimated $4 billion annually on ads worldwide.
