NEW YORK The Advertising Council presented William Weldon, chairman and chief executive officer of Johnson & Johnson, its 53rd Public Service Award at the organization’s annual dinner last night at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel here.

Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners, New York, received the Ad Council’s Gold Bell for creative excellence for developing the group’s adoption campaign. The agency was selected from 40 volunteer shops that create PSAs for the Ad Council.

WestWayne in Atlanta won the Silver Bell for its youth voter participation campaign, “Pay attention & vote,” and Mullen in Wenham, Mass.,
