LOS ANGELES All three agencies that had active proposals on the table for the Washington Lottery’s marketing account have advanced to the finals, confirmed lottery legal counsel Ceil Buddeke.

The finalists are the incumbent, Publicis Groupe’s Publicis; WPP’s Cole & Weber/Red Cell; and independent WongDoody, all in Seattle, Buddeke said.

Five agencies had responded to the lottery’s request for proposal but Interpublic Group’s Sedgwick Rd. and Omnicom’s DDB, both in Seattle, dropped out of the review earlier in the process [Adweek Online, Feb.
