Abrams Joins Insurer

The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America has appointed Mark D. Abrams corporate branding officer. Abrams came to Guardian in the fall of 2001 as a full-time consultant. Before that, he was a strategic marketing and communications consultant, serving as a partner with the Artustry Partnership. Prior to joining Artustry, Abrams was the managing director and global marketing executive for Chase Global Asset Management and Private Banking. In this newly created position at Guardian, Abrams will oversee all external and internal communications functions, which includes advertising, public relations, executive and employee communications, collateral development and all branding-related initiatives. Abrams will report to Nancy F. Rogers, senior vice president of corporate marketing, and work with the New York-based company’s senior management team on the positioning of the Guardian brand.
