DALLAS – Convenience chain 7-Eleven has hired Omnicom’s Tracy Locke Partnership to handle creative duties for its estimated $30 million account, the client said.

The move follows GSD&M’s resignation of the business, which the Austin, Texas-based Omnicom shop won just eight months after a review that included finalists Deutsch and Wieden + Kennedy, both in New York.

GSD&M representative Eric Webber said the conflict emerged with Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Russ Klein, 7-Eleven chief marketing officer, said he had reviewed other shops in the Dallas area for the business.
