Six semifinalists have emerged in the review for the advertising account of First Union Corp.’s wholesale financial-products division.
Vying for the $5-8 million assignment are: Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Ingalls Advertising, both in Boston, and New York shops Broulliard Communications (a unit of J. Walter Thompson), Doremus & Co., Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners and Citigate, sources said. There is no incumbent; Hill, Holliday and Citigate are roster shops.
