A half-dozen agencies, including incumbent Wallwork & Curry, have emerged as contenders for the advertising account of Neighborhood Health Plan, an HMO serving about 115,000 members in Massachusetts.

Seeking to displace Boston’s Wallwork & Curry, which has held the business for six years, are crosstown shops Argus Communications, Kelley Habib John Integrated Marketing, R&D Advertising and Trinity Communications, and Newton, Mass.-based The Other Agency. The budget is in the high-six-figure range; a decision is expected in March.

The Boston-based client said it is seeking a mix of healthcare experience, design acumen and a commitment to diversity.
