3 Join MindShare’s Management Board

NEW YORK MindShare North America has named three senior executives to its management board, a committee that develops company policies, manages critical business issues and determines the media agency’s overall strategic agenda.

The appointees are: Karen Kaufman, managing partner of ROI and analytics unit Advanced Techniques Group; Malcolm Russell, managing partner and director of the Communications Planning Group; and Tata Sato, managing partner at MindShare’s Insights Group.

Scott Neslund, CEO of MindShare North America, made the appointments.

“These moves add important voices to our management group from areas that are critical to our future growth,” said Neslund in a statement. “The appointments expand agency representation on the board, allowing us to call upon a more comprehensive cross-section of departments for advice when making key decisions that impact the entire agency.”

The three executives join 13 existing members of the board, including Neslund, who was named chief executive in February after running MindShare’s Chicago office.

The appointments reflect the high regard Neslund has for the execs, whom he views as key members of the agency’s core management team.
