The 2005 Gunn Report, which tabulates winners lists from 34 TV advertising award shows and 21 print shows around the globe, named AlmapBBDO in São Paulo the most-awarded agency of the year. TBWA was the most-awarded network of the year. Wieden + Kennedy’s “Grrr” was the most-awarded TV spot. Adidas’ “Laila” by TBWA\Chiat\Day in San Francisco and 180 in Amsterdam came in second. Creative Juice/G1 in Thailand’s “Light Bulb,” “Frog,” and “Watermelon, ” for Tamiya Model Kits, was the most-awarded print campaign. The ads feature smashed objects, such as a watermelon, with graphics showing the object can be put back together like a model kit. The U.S. was the most-awarded country, and Thanonchai Sornsrivichai, a Thai director, was the most-awarded director.
