YouTube TV Expands Nationally Just in Time for the Super Bowl

With the Big Game right around the corner, YouTube TV is expanding nationally. (Adweek)

YouTube TV is currently available in the top 100 markets in the U.S., which covers 85 percent of U.S. households. (Mashable)

Wednesday, the service began rolling out in an additional 95 markets, covering over 98 percent of U.S. households. The company said YouTube TV will be coming to the remaining 15 of the U.S.’s 210 designated market areas “shortly thereafter.” (Variety)

While Google has not disclosed subscriber numbers for YouTube TV since it launched in early 2017, the service reportedly increased from around 300,000 paying subscribers in January 2018 to 800,000 in July. It raised prices from $35 to $40 a month in February last year. (CNBC)
