After several quarters of disappointing earnings, Twitter seems to be getting its wings back, adding 9 million more users in the first three months of the year for a new total of 328 million. (Adweek)

The San Francisco-based social media company, led by CEO Jack Dorsey, reported earnings of 11 cents per share on revenue of $548 million, down 8 percent from $595 million in the year-ago period. Both figures exceeded Wall Street consensus estimates. (THR)

Instagram’s user growth also continues to surge, as the Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network announced Wednesday that it now has more than 700 million monthly active users. Instagram said in an email that the last 100 million MAUs were added quicker than ever, and its community has doubled in size over the past two years. (Adweek)
