Twitter is aiming to be the go-to destination before and after the Emmy Awards Sunday, Sept. 17. Prior to the event, the People & EW Red Carpet Live preshow will be livestreamed on Twitter via @people, starting at 6 p.m. ET. (Adweek)

Creative Arts Emmys were awarded over the weekend. CNN’s United Shades Of America has snapped up the Emmy for Unstructured Reality Program—hardly surprising, given the strength and current relevance of its content. Accepting the award, W. Kamau Bell thanked Amy Entelis and Jeff Zucker for ordering a “show with a black guy who had a dream.” (Deadline)

Leah Remini was near tears as she accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Informational Series or Special for her A&E series, Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath—dedicating the award to the “brave contributors who [worked on the series] despite ongoing risk and repercussions.” (THR)
